Joey is in the 2nd grade at a wonderful school for children with special needs. When he's not in school, Joey
and I are frequent visitors to our local park where Joey never misses a chance to flirt with the ladies. When we bring
Rocco along, the chaos is multiplied times ten as Rocco is as social as my little Joey. Joey continues his love of all
things fish, watching "Finding Nemo" & "Shark Tales" a few times each week. When "The Godfather"
series played on TV last week, my little Guido stayed up through the night with me to watch all of them....those Sicilian
genes are strong! We are getting ready for a very big celebration - my little cannoli is about to be 8 years old in April.
We've decided on a "Mafia" themed party with a big Italian dinner. Joey will tap into his alter ego
for this birthday blowout...."Joey 'No Shoes' Cannoli". When he puts on his fedora, I swear
he's channeling his inner Al Capone! That kid LOVES to wear hats.

When I'm not playing nurse, chauffeur,
ATM, chef, maid or laundress, I design websites and have a little landscape company. Given that Joey often
needs around the clock care, being in business for myself is my only option and I love it. Gionna helps when her social
schedule allows and that's where the fun really begins. Working side by side with Gionna not only provides constant
comic relief, but it is often the only chance we have to spend time together. Ours isn't a perfect life, but it's
perfect for the three of us.

Gionna is a junior in high school, in possession of a driver's license and by far the funniest
kid I know. Her quick wit and sarcasm is unlike any I have encountered. She no longer calls me 'mommy',
now its "Roma". A comical combination of "Roseanna" & "Mama". Gionna is involved
in theater and track and an avid contributor to Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/GionnaBorelli). Prom is in just a few weeks - breaking from her usual color choice, Gionna chose a stunning
red gown that left Nonna & I breathless when she walked out of the dressing room. That's about all I'm allowed
to say about it. Like most teenagers, Gionna is counting down the days until Summer vacation - and truth be known, I am too.
However, I am having a hard time knowing that next year she will be a senior in high school. I remember crying my eyes
out her first day of kindergarten and arriving to pick her up two hours early - yes, I just sat there in the parking lot waiting
for her. I'm such a sap.
